Thank You, Microsoft

Today, we’d like to thank Microsoft for their incredibly generous donation of $661,565.00 in Microsoft software to Imagine! in support of increasing our capacity for enterprise improvements. By not having to purchase these software items, Imagine! is able to deliver more services to the 3,500 individuals with intellectual disabilities in Boulder and Broomfield counties.

Microsoft believes technology can do amazing things. That's why they partner with thousands of organizations like Imagine! around the world to help each one achieve its mission. Through Microsoft Philanthropies, they provide technology tools, training and resources that can help create opportunities and transform communities. We are honored to be part of their global community!

Thank you, Microsoft, for your demonstrated commitment to creating a world of opportunity for all abilities.

Thank You, Boulder Area Alumnae Panhellenic

Today, we’d like to thank Boulder Area Alumnae Panhellenic for its generous grant in support of Imagine!’s Dayspring Community Calendar Activities.

Dayspring’s Community Calendar Activities introduces families with young children who have developmental disabilities or delays to places in our community that offer great activities and opportunities for children to meet their goals through fun and play. All activities encourage motor, sensory, social-emotional, cognitive, and speech-language development.

Each location has activities that are age and developmentally appropriate. Activities are centered around play, because play is the primary vehicle for a child’s mental and physical growth. Play has a vital role in cognitive, speech-language, physical, emotional and social development.

Much of young children’s learning takes place when they direct their own play. Learning occurs as children touch, manipulate, experiment and talk about things, while interacting with people who facilitate without directing. During play, children are provided with sensory experiences and opportunities to move. Young children need to climb, run, jump and challenge themselves motorically. Children are natural explorers and instinctively touch, taste, hear, and observe the world around them.

Boulder Area Alumnae Panhellenic enhances the fraternity system through scholarship awards, annual educational informational functions for prospective college freshman, philanthropic projects, community participation and civic leadership. They are longtime supporters of Imagine! and Dayspring, and host an annual Sensory Friendly day at Santa’s House during the holidays for kids receiving services from Dayspring.

Thank you, Boulder Area Alumnae Panhellenic, for your demonstrated commitment to your community and all of its members.

Thank You, April Fund

Today, we’d like to offer our sincere thanks to the April Fund for its recent generous grant to support Imagine!’s Out & About Thank Goodness Its Saturday (TGIS) program.

TGIS recognizes that sometimes parents need a break, too, and offers fun activities for parents and providers while also providing Out & About's usual therapeutic recreational activities for their children - both regular attendees of Out & About and their siblings. The events for adults are free of charge and run the duration of the children's activity. The drop-off and pick-up location for the children's event will be the same location as the parents' event, providing a hassle-free transition and easy access to both activities.

The April Fund exists to impact our local, national and global community by making charitable donations to non-profit organizations in the areas of the environment, health and human services, education, civic responsibility and the arts.

Thank you, April Fund, for supporting Imagine!’s mission of creating a world of opportunity for all abilities.

Thank You, AEC Trust

Today we’d like to offer our sincere thanks to the AEC Trust, which recently provided the Imagine! Foundation with a $10,000 grant to help support Imagine!’s Dayspring department’s Community Calendar Activities program.

During play, children are provided with sensory experiences and opportunities to move. Young children need to climb, run, jump and challenge themselves motorically. Children are natural explorers and instinctively touch, taste, hear, and observe the world around them.

The AEC Trust is a private foundation established in 1980 as a philanthropic, grantmaking organization. Funding has traditionally focused on arts and culture; education; environment; and health and human services.

Thank you, AEC Trust, for providing opportunities for young children with developmental disabilities and delays to engage with their communities in meaningful and valuable ways!
