Dancing The Night Away At The Innovations Fall Formal

On Friday, October 23, Imagine!’s Innovations department and the Innovations Advocacy Council hosted its Second Annual Fall Formal. The event was held at Imagine!’s John M. Taylor Conference Center in Lafayette. This year’s theme was the Masquerade Ball, and the guests came dressed to party.

Guests were greeted as they arrived with streamers, balloons, a red carpet, and candles to light the way for the festivities. Everyone enjoyed the generous buffet of fresh fruit, vegetables, dips, and of course dessert. A team of wonderful volunteers were on hand to assist guests as needed. After feasting on the treats, everyone was able to mingle with friends, boogie on the dance floor, take photos in a photo booth, and enter into a raffle drawing for prizes. As the evening wound to a close, treat bags were waiting for everyone to take a little piece of the evening home.

A special thanks to Russ Christiansen, who provided DJ services for the evening, to Susan Carr, who provided the photo booth and photography services for the evening, and to the many generous donors who gave to our crowdfunding campaign.

Thank You, Longmont Legacy Fund

About a month ago, the Longmont Community Foundation’s Longmont Legacy Fund sent out a call to local non-profit organizations for grant submissions – but with a twist! Instead of a written submission, they asked organizations to create a short video explaining how a grant from the Longmont Legacy Fund would positively impact Longmont youth. The Imagine! Foundation and Imagine!’s PR team were excited to take on the challenge, and produced the video below.

Can’t see the video? Click here.

The video worked! We recently received a $1,500 grant from the Longmont Legacy Fund to support families in their community. So we thought we’d embrace the spirit of the original grant submission and create a thank you video for the Longmont Legacy Fund. Enjoy!

Thank You, City of Lafayette

Today, we’d like to offer our sincere thanks to the City of Lafayette, Colorado, for its $1,500 grant to Imagine! through the city's One Lafayette Community Fundraiser. The City finances this community fundraiser to help local nonprofit organizations provide essential services.

Funding from One Lafayette will be used to cover a portion of Imagine!'s Emergency Fund distributions to Lafayette residents with developmental disabilities. Through the Emergency Fund, Imagine! provides limited financial assistance to help individuals served by Imagine! meet urgent or extraordinary needs not covered by Medicaid or other funding sources.

Thank you, City of Lafayette, for your demonstrated commitment to some of your community’s most vulnerable citizens.

Imagine! Artists Shine At Expo

Last weekend, artists from Imagine!’s CORE/Labor Source (CLS) department sold their original artwork at the Handmade in Colorado Expo in Boulder. A little rain didn’t stop the enthusiasm of the crew. They sold almost $450 worth of fantastic art in total! Several people served by Imagine! helped work at the event, and were fantastic ambassadors for Imagine! and CLS, getting community members interested in our program and what we work towards in the CLS art room. Congrats to all involved, and special thanks to Bridget Carroll for organizing the CLS crew and especially to Steve Wallis, organizer of the Handmade in Colorado Expo, for donating the booth to Imagine! (in addition to donating 10% of the exhibitor fees!)
