Thank You, Faith Community Lutheran Church

Today, we’d like to say “thanks” to Faith Community Lutheran Church for its generous $1,875 grant to Imagine!. The funds will go toward Imagine!’s Case Management Emergency Fund for individuals living in Longmont.

Through the Emergency Fund, Imagine! provides limited financial assistance to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) meet urgent or extraordinary needs not covered by Medicaid or other funding sources. Examples of approved expenses include mental health services, extraordinary medical bills, respite care during times of upheaval, IV sedation for dental procedures, short-term housing for clients at risk of homelessness, and home modifications for clients with decreasing mobility.

Thank you, Faith Community Lutheran Church, for your continued commitment to the health, safety, and well being of all members of your community!

Thank You, Lynn and Helen Clark Fund

The Lynn and Helen Clark Fund, administered by Guaranty Bank in Longmont, was created to benefit individuals living in the St. Vrain Valley School District. The Clarks established the fund to benefit local charities in 1993. Since then, it has distributed almost $3 million to support our community.

Recently, Imagine! received a $2,000 grant from the Lynn and Helen Clark Fund to support individuals we serve in Longmont who experience a financial urgent or extraordinary need not covered by Medicaid or other funding sources. This is the seventh year the Lynn and Helen Clark Fund has supported Imagine!’s Case Management Emergency Fund, and we are so appreciative of their continued support of their community and all of its citizens.

Meet The Foundation's New Grant Writer

We’re thrilled to let you know that Elizabeth Hill, Imagine!'s Volunteer Coordinator, will join the Imagine! Foundation staff part-time as our new grant writer. Elizabeth joined Imagine! almost five years ago to create and grow the volunteer program, which surpassed 400 volunteers this past year. Prior to that, she was the AmeriCorps Program Coordinator with St. Bernard Project on the Gulf Coast (including New Orleans!) after Katrina, where she gained grant writing experience. She's pictured with her precious daughter, Drew, who is now two years old.

Welcome, Elizabeth!

Michelle Conkey wrote grants for the Foundation this past year in a part-time capacity, but recently received a new full-time position at Imagine! as Business Systems Program Manager. We thank her for her hard work and dedication.

Imagine! Volunteer Spotlight: Eldorado High School (Albuquerque)

Today, we’d like to give a shout out to the students from Eldorado High School in Albuquerque. As part of the Eldorado High Eagle Earth and Reality Project, the students came all the way up to Colorado and volunteered at Imagine!’s CORE/Labor Source (CLS) site in Longmont last month. Fifty students, along with teachers Allison Dunn and Sean Thomas, hosted art, sports, jewelry, and cupcake making stations. They also did a spiffy job cleaning the vehicles that CLS uses in delivering services and supports throughout the community.

Not pictured is the amazing lunch that Project Reality grilled up, but nonetheless we owe them all a huge thank you!

Donors included individuals, corporations, service organizations, foundations, and Imagine! employees. No matter the category, all of our donors share one thing in common: they believe in the potential of all.
