Thank You, Atonement Lutheran Church

Today we’d like to thank Boulder’s Atonement Lutheran Church for their volunteer efforts on behalf of Imagine!.

Each year, members of the church do a Sunday project outside of the church to serve the community. In late September, Imagine! hosted 40 volunteers at 2 projects sites. One group helped to xeriscape and renovate the side yards at one of Imagine!’s Group Homes, and the other group hosted a car wash to clean our Boulder CORE/Labor Source vehicle fleet.

We received fantastic feedback about the work done by both groups! The good folks at Atonement Church have done multiple volunteer projects for Imagine! over the past several years, and were are honored and humbled by their continued support.

Today Is Longmont Live And Give Day!

The Longmont Community Foundation is looking to encourage the community to support great local nonprofits today, which they have designated Longmont Live and Give Day.

Imagine! is participating in this day of giving, and we encourage you to help us support our climbing program which allows individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to experience the joy and self-esteem that rock climbing can bring.

Thank You, Foothills United Way Volunteers

On Friday, a team of enthusiastic and generous volunteers from Foothills United Way showed up bright and early at Imagine!’s administrative office to clean our fleet of vehicles. Our vehicles get a lot of use transporting individuals with intellectual disabilities to jobs, appointments, and activities in the community, so they can get a little messy. Having our vehicles shiny and clean just helps make everything seem a little nicer, so we thank these volunteers for giving up part of their day to give them all a thorough scrubbing!

Welcome to the latest edition of The Wish List. Included below are items that would augment and enhance Imagine! programs and services for the individuals we serve and would be much appreciated. If you are able to provide an item, please contact Patti Micklin at pmicklin@imaginecolorado.org or 303-926-6443. Pick-up for large items can be provided, and your contribution is tax deductible. If you prefer to provide a cash gift to be used for the purchase of one of the items below, that would also be most welcome. Please check out this blog every Wednesday to see new Wish List Items.

Out & About provides summer camp, after-school, and school closure day programs for school-aged children with developmental disabilities, as well as weekend activities for adults. All activities are community-based and are designed within a therapeutic framework.
