MOOV is hosting its Third Annual Kettlebell Swing-a-Thon on Dec. 9, 2017, to raise money for Imagine!. Once again, the good folks at MOOV will be supporting Imagine! in this fun and challenging way.

MOOV was born out of boredom with the normal gym experience and a love for functional fitness and alternative therapies, and was founded by a team of fitness enthusiasts who wanted more from their training. This event clearly demonstrates their creativity, in addition to their commitment to their community.

Today, we’d like to offer our sincere thanks to Dave Query, who is once again treating individuals served by Imagine! and their families to a traditional turkey dinner on this Thanksgiving Day. This is the 14th year Dave has hosted this event, which will again be at Zolo Southwestern Grill, 2525 Arapahoe Avenue, Boulder.

There are three seatings, and more than 350 people will benefit from Dave's amazing generosity.

Dave Query is the owner of Big Red F Restaurant Group, including restaurants Centro Latin Kitchen, Jax Fish House – Boulder, Denver, Fort Collins, Glendale, and Kansas City, LoLa Coastal Mexican, Post Brewing Company, West End Tavern, and Zolo Grill.

Dave is donating the makings for a delicious dinner with all the trimmings, and the wait staff is volunteering its time. There is no charge for the meal, and no tips are necessary.

Thanks to Dave and the Zolo staff for making it a Thanksgiving to remember for individuals served by Imagine!.

Today we'd like to thank Albertsons Companies Foundation for their recent donation to help purchase iPads for Imagine!’s CORE/Labor Source (CLS) department.

In just a few short years, iPads have moved from merely fun items for CLS to have to absolute necessities. The amount of life-long learning that can and does take place using the iPads at CLS is astounding, and we are so grateful to Albertson’s for the gift.

Pictured below, students at Imagine!'s CORE/Labor Source hub in Longmont take advantage of an iPad class to practice their art skills and play task oriented games.

Today, we’d like to say “thanks” to the Broomfield Community Foundation for its generous $1,500 grant to Imagine!. The funds will go toward Imagine!’s Case Management Emergency Fund for individuals living in Broomfield.

Through the Emergency Fund, Imagine! provides limited financial assistance to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) meet urgent or extraordinary needs not covered by Medicaid or other funding sources. Examples of approved expenses include mental health services, extraordinary medical bills, respite care during times of upheaval, IV sedation for dental procedures, short-term housing for clients at risk of homelessness, and home modifications for clients with decreasing mobility.

Thank You, City of Lafayette

Today, we’d like to offer our sincere thanks to the City of Lafayette, Colorado, for its $2,000 grant to Imagine! through the city's One Lafayette Community Fundraiser. The City finances this community fundraiser to help local nonprofit organizations provide essential services.

Funding from One Lafayette will be used to cover a portion of Imagine!'s Emergency Fund distributions to Lafayette residents with developmental disabilities. Want to ensure the health and happiness of everyone in our community? Enrich our lively arts scene? Support the education of our young people? Live & Give Longmont is our chance to come together on one extraordinary day (TODAY, Sept. 26) to celebrate our collective spirit of giving and provide seed funding for nonprofits and projects that help our community.

Imagine! is a Live & Give Longmont participating organization. You can help kids and adults with developmental disabilities enjoy all that Longmont has to offer, while they build cooperative skills! Imagine!'s Out & About participants are in Longmont for day camp, after-school, and weekend activities! About 75 people enjoy the Longmont Rec Center, bowling at Centennial Lanes, the Dickens Opera House, Firehouse Art, and Yaya Farms. The entrance fees for these activities add up, and your gift will help Imagine! provide even more opportunities to these venues.

Thank You, Atonement Lutheran Church

Members of Atonement Lutheran Church in Boulder participated in a volunteer car wash last Sunday at Imagine’s Coal Creek facility. They were tasked with cleaning several vehicles used by Imagine!’s Out & About department. The weather was cold and wet but warm hearts and smiles prevailed. Many thanks to the crew from ALC!

Imagine! Artists To Be Featured At Handmade In Colorado Expo

On October 7 and 8, you are invited to join Imagine! CORE/Labor Source (CLS) artists at the 9th Annual Handmade in Colorado Expo.

The Handmade in Colorado Expo is a juried event showcasing some of Colorado's best fine art and contemporary craft. The event will feature a vast array of independent designers, including CLS artists, producing original handcrafted goods from a wide array of media including metals, paper, glass, fibers, food, fabricated objects, clay, paint, wax, gems, and more. All work sold will be created from both emerging and experienced artisans from Colorado. This event is designed for Locavores, as customers will only find Colorado made items sold by exhibitors that will interact directly with their customers. This event has free admission and some great local live music. Come support your local artists and craftspeople in their pursuit of creativity made by hand.

CLS artists will be at the Boulder event, which takes place Oct 7 and 8 in Boulder’s Central Park.

Imagine! Artists To Be Featured At ArtWalk Longmont

Artists from Imagine!’s CORE/Labor Source will be displaying some of their very impressive artwork this Saturday, September 16, at ArtWalk Longmont. 

The art will be available for purchase, of course! In addition to Imagine! artists, ArtWalk Longmont will feature live artist demonstrations, interactive activities, free musical performances, and pop-up artist exhibits!

ArtWalk Longmont takes place from 4-8PM in Historic Downtown Longmont. We hope to see you there!

Dayspring believes that the family is the child’s first teacher, and takes a whole child approach to encourage parents and children to build upon their strengths. Dayspring provides services and supports to children where they live, learn, and play.
