Today, we’d like to thank The Charles E. and Carol J. Miller Family Foundation (dba The Miller Family Foundation) for its generous grant to provide opportunities for children with disabilities to attend Imagine!’s Out & About program. These programs include After School Programs, School Closure Day programs, and Summer Day Camp.

Founded in 2014, The Miller Family Foundation’s core purpose is investing in “The Common Good” initiatives, causes, and programs that build towards a better tomorrow for our community, nation, and world.

Today we’d like to offer our thanks to the Ice Wizards, Boulder County’s hockey team for people with a variety of abilities, for hosting a “Teddy Bear Toss” in support of Imagine!’s Holiday Gift Giving Drive this past Saturday.

A huge crowd showed up to cheer on the Ice Wizards, and after the Ice Wizards scored in the second period, the cheering fans threw teddy bears and other stuffed animals on the ice (more than 350 in all!), to be collected and shared with Imagine! families in need. Imagine! CEO Mark Emery started the game off right by dropping the ceremonial first puck.

Today, the Imagine! Foundation would like to offer our sincere thanks to Dave Query and everyone at Big Red F Restaurant Group, who are once again treating individuals served by Imagine! and their families to a traditional turkey dinner for Thanksgiving Day. This is the 15th year Dave has hosted this event, which will again be at Zolo Southwestern Grill, 2525 Arapahoe Avenue, Boulder.

There are three seatings, and in all, more than 350 people will benefit from Dave's amazing generosity.

Dave Query is the owner of Big Red F Restaurant Group, which includes restaurants Centro Latin Kitchen, Jax Fish House – Boulder, Denver, Fort Collins, Glendale, and Kansas City, LoLa Coastal Mexican, Post Brewing Company, West End Tavern, and Zolo Grill.

Dave and several vendors are donating the makings for a delicious dinner with all the trimmings, and the wait staff is volunteering its time. There is no charge for the meal, and no tips are necessary.

Thanks to Dave and the Big Red F staff for making it a Thanksgiving to remember for individuals served by Imagine!.

Thank You, Atonement Lutheran Church

Today we’d like to thank Boulder’s Atonement Lutheran Church for their volunteer efforts on behalf of Imagine!.

Each year, members of the church do a Sunday project outside of the church to serve the community. In late September, Imagine! hosted 40 volunteers at 2 projects sites. One group helped to xeriscape and renovate the side yards at one of Imagine!’s Group Homes, and the other group hosted a car wash to clean our Boulder CORE/Labor Source vehicle fleet.

We received fantastic feedback about the work done by both groups! The good folks at Atonement Church have done multiple volunteer projects for Imagine! over the past several years, and were are honored and humbled by their continued support.
